When Biollante went into space. It's much more logical, because Biollante is a spawn of Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla was said to have G-cells so there has to be a connection. Godzilla's cells rubbing off on Mothra isn't as believable (not that a giant crocidile plant made of G-cells is that believable either).

I had to go with Mothra. She could have had G-cells on her claws, and she did travel much farther into space than Biollante did.
